The first night films until the wee hours of the morning
Although viewers get to see a put-together two-hour premiere episode of meeting “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” and the first rose ceremony, the filming behind it lasts well into the night. All the contestants must be introduced, make an impression and the first group is sent home. “It was so emotionally draining,” Goodkind revealed. “You were so high-strung, excited, nervous, anxious, and so by that time, I was just anxious to know if I was going home. I was so, so anxious.”
